Role & Form

About Role & Form

A uniform development and production partner, accountable for the whole programme.

We work with specialist manufacturing partners selected for each garment category, while remaining accountable for the complete programme.

Fit and detail are corrected on real pieces before the specification is sealed.

What Role & Form does

Role & Form develops and produces uniform programmes for client-facing teams: hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars, retail, aviation, airports, automotive, beauty, wellness, corporate and venue teams.

A programme is a wardrobe, not an order. It covers several roles in one brand language, several locations and climates, new joiners and later repeat orders, from the first brief to delivery.

How the partner network works

Tailoring, shirting, knitwear, outerwear and accessories are different trades. We work with specialist manufacturing partners selected for each garment category rather than forcing a whole programme through one workshop.

Role & Form holds the role matrix, the sealed specification and the approvals, so partners work to the same document and the client has one point of contact.

Portugal and Europe

Why Portugal and Europe

Northern Portugal is an apparel ecosystem with deep tailoring, shirting and knitwear expertise, within a short flight of most European head offices.

Development, sampling and approvals are run from Portugal, within easy reach of most European head offices, and production stays in Portugal and Europe. That proximity makes a programme easier to review, correct and repeat.

Accountability

Who is accountable

Role & Form is accountable for the complete programme: development, sampling, production and delivery, across every partner involved.

Each stage closes with a clear approval before the next begins, and the sealed specification is the reference for later orders, subject to material availability and any agreed updates.

    Miguel Ramôa

    Product development, production and delivery

More than 25 years in textiles, from textile chemistry to industrial management, producing for some of the world’s leading fashion brands and for hotels, resorts and restaurant chains.

Before Role & Form he ran the production studio behind uniform and apparel programmes for hotels, restaurants, bakeries and retail brands in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom: front-of-house wardrobes, restaurant uniforms, aprons and shirting, developed and produced in Portugal.

He owns each programme from the first brief to the handover: the role matrix, materials, sampling, the sealed specification, production with the specialist partner for each garment category, and whether what ships matches the approved sample.

    Production coordination

Apparel operations and product management across complex programmes.

Andreia keeps production on plan: orders, critical path, quality checkpoints, delivery and the reorders that follow, so a programme that starts with one site can be repeated to the same specification.

Previous work

Previous work and confidentiality

Our production team led uniform and apparel programmes for hotels, restaurants, bakeries and retail brands in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and beyond before Role & Form. We publish names only with written client authorisation.

Selected past programmes can be discussed privately where client confidentiality applies.
